Location & scenery

Villa Nio is located on the west coast of Bali, in the Tabanan region. The house is set on a private piece of land, looking out over endless rice paddies, palm tree forests and the ocean in the distance. It’s located in the fisher and farmer’s village of Batu Tampih Kangin, just 6 miles north of Tanah Lot.

Since it’s the last house on the street, you’ll feel the warmth and friendliness of traditional Balinese village culture leading up to the house, while enjoying all the privacy, tranquility and panoramic views you could dream of once you’re inside. A short walk (600 meters) will lead you to the local beach with its stunning views and glistening black sand, not yet discovered by tourists.

By scooter - the Balinese choice of transport - a 30 minute scenic ride through villages and rice fields will lead you to the heart of Canggu, loved by surfers, artists and digital nomads for its exquisite healthy food, coffee and beaches. Seminyak, a mainstay for dining, nightlife and fashion boutiques is less than 50 minutes away. The same goes for Ubud - yoga and spa heaven - making it perfect for a day trip. Besides renting a bicycle or scooter, it's also possible to book a day trip with tour guide via our house manager Dandy; please find more information on his dedicated Trip on Bali website.
